Looking for volunteers…

John Vasey is looking for a few volunteers next Monday, 13th January, to help get the ramps cleaned with the high-pressure hose. Low tide will be at 3:30pm, so anyone is available to come to the club between 1:30 and 4:00pm to assist with the cleaning, it is very much appreciated. The steps and the ramps are also to be cleaned, and the oysters removed from where they can damage the RIBs.If you can help, please let John know.

Spring Point Score Races 13 & 14Report by PRO Dave NewmanFor the final races of 2024 and concluding the Spring Pointscore Series with Races 13 & 14, we were greeted with a light Nor’easterly breeze predicted to rotate to the East, which it did just after resetting a NE course! After some quick adjustments we got underway in a 6-8 knot breeze and outgoing tide which resulted in some OCS in both ILCA 6 & 7. Race 13 was won by Michael Morris in the ILCA 6 and Stephen Reid in the ILCA 7.The breeze increased for the beginning of race 14 before lighting as the race went on. The chocolates in Race 14 went to Michael

Tyrell & Rousso RacesReport by PRO Luke ParkerA light ESE dictated that the course be set in the Dardanelle straight between point piper and Shark island.  As always there were plenty of shifts and holes, but this week the fleet enjoyed added pleasure(?) of a multitude of yachts racing an interclub series.  And a plethora of charter boats hosting Christmas parties.  And jet boats blasting around with tourists.  And Sydney ferries.  And a few historical 18’s were there as well.   It was a busy day.  Keeping out of trouble was the aim.  Most succeeded to some extent. The two races took into account yardstick.   Full Rigs are  rated at 114, Radials 118.5 and

DBSC's Christmas Party

Ian Tudball sums up the evening:What a magic way to wrap up a stunning race day on the Harbour.Diana, Peter C, and their merry band of helpers put on a brilliant party that kicked off early and just when the night needed some extra spark, disco queen, Shirley hit the dance floor. As seen in the pics, Bad Santa was always lurking in the background.(all pics by Tuddy)
